Tonight is the second game of the series with the Mariners. The Rays will send Jeff Niemann (0-2) to square off with Chris Jakubauskas (1-1). The Rays need to start putting everything together to gain some wins. Losing three straight is grueling to watch.

What To Watch For:
Niemann was real strong in his last start going six innings and only giving up two runs to a Jermaine Dye homerun. Jeff just needs to get his command down to where he doesn’t throw that hanging pitch that gets belted out of the park.

As Adrian pointed out yesterday Carl Crawford is 3 for his last 22. I can not figure out why a healthy C.C. is struggling this bad. Maybe a day off could be a good thing for him. But then again who really wants any Gabe in the field.

B.J. Upton sat out yesterday after saying his injury still didn’t feel well. Bossman claims that he will not need to go on the disabled list and should be alright to play tonight. Even though Gabe Kapler had the number one web-gem last night, Upton can cover more ground and possibly make those catches that Kapler couldn’t last night.

X-Factor:
Ben Zobrist continues to swing a hot bat. I’m not sure if he will be in the line-up but Maddon should really consider playing him with the way he is swinging.

Also look for the top of the order to be more productive. The Rays need to find a way to manufacture more runs. And with that speed and power at the top it is pathetic how they don’t.
