Today’s rubber game between the New York Yankees and the Tampa Bay Rays will feature the battle of the Andy’s as it is Pettite VS. Sonnansitne at a 4:08 P.M. EST. start. It is too much to ask for to stay above a .500 record this early?

What To Watch For:
Even Longoria
is reportedly out for the next two games due to a family issue. He is expected to be back with the team for Friday’s game against the White Sox. Willy Aybar will be taking his place so watch for him to jump on the opportunity and capitalize on the playing time.

Also, look for the starter in RF. I wonder who Maddon will trust out there after Kapler looked clueless against Swisher. It wouldn’t surprise me if Zobrist was plugged out there to see what he is made of. Big Ben does have more power from the right side.

X-Factor:
Look for B.J Upton to have a coming out party against Pettite. A big game for B.J. can easily be the boost this team needs to stay on the winning track. Also, Sonny needs to work fast to keep the Yankee hitters off balance. A healthy dose of junk pitching can go a long way.
